Rik has served in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry since 1994. He is a graduate of Lindenwood University (BA Communications) and Union University (MA Christian Studies). Rik has built his career providing coverage for churches. With more than 60 churches in the St. Louis Metro area and his work as the pastor of North Church in North St. Louis County, Rik has a unique perspective to understand the insurance needs of churches. Rik is a second-generation broker and has rounded out his book by taking over the family business from his father Rich Maxedon. Since taking over the helm, Rik continues to round out his book working with auto repair shops, apartments, and golf car dealers. If you have been around Rik much you know that his team is the real value in his operation. Esther Mizel and Kris Kortum provide attention to detail, strength, creativity, and work ethic to the team. He would be lost without them. Rik is involved in support of Fellowship of Christian Athletes through supporting local area directors and speaking at student-athlete and coach camps, The Sharing Shed through volunteer work, and church planting organizations Plant Midwest and Acts 29. Each of these entities is a passion of Rik’s. Rik is the husband of Jen, father of Briiana, Hannah Grace, Cooper, and Mia.
