Jim represents the second generation of family ownership and management at MGI Risk Advisors, where he is President of the agency and Chairs its Board of Directors. He began his insurance career in 1980 and is a graduate of the School of Business at St. Louis University. In 1988, he attained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Property and Liability Underwriters. Jim has been an active member of the St. Louis Association of Independent Insurance Agents, serving as its president in 2004-05. He later served for six years as a regional director of the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents where he chaired the Leadership Committee from 2009-2011 and served on the MAIA Political Action Committee. Jim provides commercial Risk Management services to clients in areas as varied as manufacturing, hospitality, real estate management and development, religious institutions, and construction. In addition, he assists his clients with identifying and covering their personal insurance needs.
